I originally posted in this the wrong thread ... but deleted the original post and posting it here in case it helps someone out (my one and only stay at Sheraton Miyako Osaka):
I stayed here only once. Most memorable part of my stay was a real earthquake that I felt around 2am. Scared the heck out of me, but it went away after a few seconds and no structural damage (earthquake occurred off the coast of Hiroshima). I think this hotel would be useful if you just need a place to sleep prior to taking shuttle to Kansai Airport. It's cheaper for sure, but rooms are underwhelming. The few people that work the first floor / entrance area never help with suitcases which really peeved me off. I got a room on the 14th floor, equivalent to Japanese business hotel rooms like at Chisun or Clio.
By the way, there's a good Korean restaurant around the corner. Head out the entrance take a left and a left at intersection. Walk past the mall with Subway/Mcdonalds and there's a Korean restaurant at the next black building on your left. The food made the stay more tolerable.
