Anyway, I am not familiar with the authentication technology used on the EMV chips (hopefully AES?), but even if it is broken a few times, a round of reissuing cards can fix that. This is very different from magnetic strips that nobody can fix.
He can't because the claim is nonsense. Some scare worded articles coming from Cambridge had headlines that made it sound like the chip could be copied, but the reality was a preplay attack dependent on vulnerable terminals. Oh and a laptop wired to the fake card.
