The problem with the joker was that we are a family of 5. Based on the way they booked it (NCE-LHR-ATL) they had to issue two tickets; one for miles and one for avios. This meant that they used 2 jokers even though one joker should be sufficient for 5 people. I complained and said that this was not fair as this was a fault in the BA computer system that had to issue 2 tickets but to no avail. The would not refund me the joker.
This doesn't make any sense.
How can the problem with the joker be that you are a family of five. The joker is for 5 persons in a booking and opens up avios inventory throughout the whole itinerary.
