For my last few flights with CX (in 2013, sadly haven't flown them this year), TP and Avios were credited 3-5 days after the flight date. However, not sure if status changes immediately in the BAEC system when you reach the threshold, or if it takes a few days to change to Gold. No doubt others here will know that.
