For a credit card purchase, Section 75 may be more applicable which has no time limit, although linked legal claims may time out.
My 60 day reference was for doing a credit card dispute in case the airline does not provide the service you paid for. If you purchase a fare for 6 months from now and the airline goes belly up 4 months later, you are then stuck with trying to get value back from the bankruptcy process. I believe if 60 days from purchase has not elapsed, you can dispute the charge with the credit card company.
