Unbelievable - Platinum Kiwibank Mastercard experience

I'm an Air NZ Kiwibank Platinum card holder, and I'm in a state of quasi-disbelief that if their system shuts you down for suspected fraud, you have absolutely no way of gaining access to the card until customer services can be bothered to open shop to help you out.

In other words, unlike every other card that I have used, there is no 24 hour number for you to regain access to your account.

It defies all logic for a card that is being sold as a must-have for frequent travellers. Sorry Kiwibank and Air New Zealand, but my apologies for being many timezones away and having a card declined on me in a restaurant with no other immediate recourse to payments... I'll just suffer the humiliation in front of clients that I had invited to dinner, and call you again when it's convenient for you.
