My wife does this...despite my pointing out repeatedly that paying the interest is *not* in her best interest, she will, occasionally, decide that her balance is too much for this month and will carry some of it to the next month...at the same time, she will put 3x the amount left on the credit card into our savings CD...

I gave up on the topic a long time ago...."happy wife, happy life"...
