Itinerary is still exactly the same as originally booked as I (despite UA's expectation) made my international to domestic connection yesterday in under 40 minutes and got on the last plane to LAX (original seat already given away and assigned an E- seat way in the back, but that's another story).
So if this message is displayed in my reservation, how can I go ahead an make changes to the remaining flights tomorrow? Just call UA and ask for whatever change I would like to make?

If you had gone to a kiosk upon arrival after clearing customs, the choices would have been available there. Since you managed to get to your original flight, I'm not sure what happens, but I'm thinking the options are gone because they are no longer necessary (ie you made your connection).
