Looking for advice, hopefully this is the right thread... Itinerary is YUL-ATL-HNL on a Friday in January.
Delta just changed my first flight out to arrive 30 minutes later (but listed as departing at the same time, not sure why, fly routing?). My flight now arrives in ATL at 10:12 and the flight for HNL leaves at 10:50 (also Delta). That seems incredibly risky, especially since there are no flights out after, but Delta maintains it is a legal connection and refuses to reimburse the ticket. The only other alternative I am given is to fly from Montreal to MSP, 1 hour connection, onto LAX, 1h30 layover, and onto HNL. Hubby barely tolerates 1 stop on this long journey, not gonna happen with 2...
Ideas? Am I out of luck?
We'll have cleared customs at our airport of origin, have carry-on only and both GE/Nexus. Any chance we make it? I'm assuming the good old "tell the airflight attendant you have a tight connection" will do no good... We have seats in aisle 16 right now so about middle of the plane.
I am still trying to get Delta to cancel the ticket, but am not having any luck, it doesn't matter to them whether I booked a 1-stop itinerary (at a premium price!), they consider it the same as a 2 or 3 stop flight route:-(
