I do the same thing, except:
1. If you need a room for more than 2 guests, I don't book on PL's Name Your Price as they only guarantees bedding for 2 guests.
2. If I want a guaranteed amenity (e.g., pool, ocean front, shuttle), then I pay the extra and book with Express or Hotwire.
