I'll speak for myself: I posted the changes in the wording of the charges, not a commentary. I also posted the Bloomberg headline about airlines not likely to lower fares as a result.
I left it to the rest of the crowd to argue semantics, logic, corporate policy, reality and the state of the known universe.

My question was posed to those who are objecting the concept of, or use of these charges. Didn't want to signal anyone out specifically (or rather too lazy to go those the post take note of those who are objecting).
My point, if it was too subtle for certain people, is that (almost) every airline does this. I just looked up a flight on EK from JFK to DXB return.
Base fare (r/t): $375
Carrier-imposed charges: $688
Taxes fees & Charges: $ 85.80
So, if one were to accuse AC of being dishonest, I hope they also post words like "deceptive practices which have nothing to do with honesty" on the EK forum too.
