Also, they wake you up far too early for 'breakfast' on the inter-asia redeyes. Lights out 2-3 hours after departure, and lights on for meals 2 hours before arrival, make the 6-7 hour redeyes to Korea and Japan unbearable.
I've gone out of my way to avoid SQ in recent years.
Interesting - which airlines do you prefer vs. SQ?
In terms of waking people up for breakfast - flying ET LHR-ADD, the cabin crew woke me up after dinner to ask whether I wanted to be woken up for breakfast in the morning.
