I am stopping off in Zim for a few days before moving on to CPT. I'll do as suggested and contact Zim authorities. The smaller knives will be easier to hide in my luggage but the Kunai throwers are big in comparison so a little harder to "hide" from 'sticky fingers'.
I might check the hunting forum boards. I'm guessing people who go hunting or diving take their own gear? The things we do for friends. Can't remember when last I checked a bag. Always just take carry on...so much simpler.
