Update: my issue was that the ticket had a non-OW partner that didn't have a relationship with AB, so that part didn't like my AB#. That's what I had suspected. Supervisor manually fixed it, skipping the non-AB-compatible partner.
Of course the error msg was misleading as hell.

Same issue, except the reservation is already booked and my AAdvantage# is on it, I'm trying to change it to my AB#. Twitter team gets the same type of "name mismatch" error when they try. Yet the same AB# was added to another reservation last week! And I tripled checked the names on both FFPs and they certainly look the same.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
