Seems to me AC missed an interesting opportunity to have an early afternoon departure from YYZ that arrives mid afternoon in DEL, and an early evening return from DEL that would arrive in YYZ 11pm ish.
I know their HND service was timed that way specifically to pick up east coast US originating traffic, as a counter schedule against all the late night HND TPAC operators, why not do that here?
You might be answering your own question.
Your proposed timing would be great for O-D traffic, but it would require anybody connecting to overnight in YYZ on the return segment.
