Thanks Q Shoe Guy.

Not sure when (or "if") we can make it back to Japan (I'm 74 in Feb and recovering from prostate cancer) but if we do make it back, it's a date.

Actually we love the Yokohama and Shin-Yokohama areas and used to stay at the SY Prince or the former Pan Pacific. Now it's the Associa in SY and the ICH in Minato Mirai.

Love that Tsubame Grill outside Shin-Yokohama Station. It's great for meals and snacks. ^

Not so the New York Kitchen in Minato Mirai. Management change since 2010 meant a new menu with all the good stuff gone

Are you actually living in Japan?

It's so clean and people are so helpful, friendly and polite there.

Even the crowds in the huge underground complex at Osaka Station area could not deter us!

Returning to North America is such a culture shock!!!
