A few weeks back they had some kind of security event/drill and used the D concourse for this and saw pictures of the concourse. Big mistake in the design not to have a connector to the main terminal as unless this happens no hope it will ever be used again. I know they plan on upgrading the ticket counter area but what they really should do is build a new terminal and then they could bring D back into the mix.
D may be pretty, but what purpose is served? Disaster of a design, but that ship has long sailed.
There's more than enough capacity in A, B, and C for current operations and then some.
Why go into more debt building something that will just hike the already expensive fees that airlines pay to fly into CLE?
CLE just has to pray that UA doesn't go bankrupt before 2027...$1,112,482 per month!
