Did not try this (and suspect it won't work) but thank you for the suggestion and I welcome others.

Our email/calendar access is locked down pretty tight. We have Outlook Web Access, but it only works from within the firewall on IT issued computers. Mobile devices are not allowed access to the Intranet, but access to exchange servers is allowed through some magic with MobileIron which I can't seem to make the Fire Phone mail client to use. I even tried installing the Mail client from my Nexus 7 onto the Fire Phone, but then I don't even get an Exchange option, only POP3 and IMAP.
