My long-haul flight on Friday is a 3-class B747 sold as 2-class: One of these old birds with old biz class, which means grabbing an FC seat with a biz ticket would be particularly nice. I booked my tickets yesterday. Expertflyer seat map showed 6 out of 8 FC seats taken. My travel agent was slow, and when the ticket was finally issued all 8 seats were taken. I called the HON Hotline and asked them to put me into one of those seats (worth a try ...), but was told that there is nothing they could do. The two open seats had been shown as regular seats on Expertflyer, not as premium seats - so I am wondering if anybody could reserve them!?

Anyways, at the airport i will make it clear that I am expecting to sit in one of these 8 seats. On that route I have never seen 8 HONs on board, so there should not be any capacity problem. Let's see if LH knows who their best customers are.
