First time in Hawaii

Hi all,

I and my wife would like to go to Hawaii. We are thinking, as period, September next year.
Is it a good period to go? How is the sea? Cold or warm?
We have already been to Maldives and Caribbean (cruise).

Are 8-10 days enough? We would like relax and also make tours?
Which island is better?

Are resort with Full Inclusive option available?
