This would be the worst possible thing to do......Have they not seen what happen when LI batteries catch fire. There have been a few instances on board (of consumer devices catching fire (as well as 787's)) which of course can be put out but if those incidents happened in the hold then it's likely the plane will just burn.

So, that would make our own Government the terrorists as their decision would/could lead to the killing of a plane load of people and I am sure there have been far more incidents of LI fires than successful terrorist attacks.

Another F ing dumb idea by politicians/Civil Servants who have no clue; but I guess if people die cause the batteries catch fire then that is not a political incident so no need to care about that (or them!)
