Had my first experience with these guys and thought I'd pass it along.

Wife had a grant application due in Seattle this afternoon at 5 pm. She missed the final FedEx drop off deadline in this area of 9 pm last night and was not done until midnight. She called FedEx to arrange same-day delivery, and they said someone would come by the house between 2-5 am.

No one showed. Called them 4:45 and they said they did not have a "TSA-approved" courier available. And of course they couldn't be troubled to call. Seems like pretty bad service from a special office that only does same-day deliveries.

I finally recalled the existence of WN Cargo, so called them at 5 am. At MDW they seem to be open 24 hours during the week. Guy quoted $87, next flight, 8:45 NS arriving SEA at 11:25. Just had to drop off an hour in advance.

They only go airport-to-airport, so I had to figure out a way to get it the rest of the way from SEA. A courier service would have sufficed, but fortunately I know someone out there who was willing to pick up and deliver for me.

All worked great, very similar to showing up at a FedEx/UPS office and doing a one-time shipment. Couldn't be more pleased.

Now just need to get the grant funded.
