You can obtain boarding pass within 24 hours before departure for US bound flight I think. But why would he want to go to the lounge the day before his flight? I am not even sure if HKIA security would allow you to get through? The Wing lounge is not open for 24/7 FYR so it doesn't quite make sense to me (if it involves an overnight stay at the airport??).
