European mass produced beers such as Heineken are better than the US mass market stuff so I can see why the BA selection looks good as you have Heineken, Tiger and London Pride to choose from as well as Amstel Light which I think is aimed at the U.S. market.
With the number of decent craft beers popping up both sides of the Atlantic as well as traditional real ales and various other interesting beers some airline should take the lead and give beer the same level of importance as wine and spirits.
EDIT: had a look at that thread. It's good that frequent flyers both sides of the Atlantic are wishing for quality beer in their lounges.
