As for Question two most properties IIRC will want to have visual of the room every two to three days to make sure that everything is ok and that the guest is ok. So yes probably after a few days they would definitely notice that you aren't there. The only brand that you may get away with a little longer is Staybridge or Candlewood as they are extended stay and are serviced less but even then I think you would be pushing it to get past four or five nights without them spotting you weren't there.
If I bring some clothes I intend to throw, leave it around the place etc will that work?

Or if I directly explain to them I'm there to get nights. Which might be better?

HTB.

P.S.: Hotels in China.
Most of my IHG stays next year will be in Macau, Manila and partially China/Bangkok. Mainly in Holiday Inns and Intercontinental.

When you say TOTALLY worth you meant the upgrade %? I understand how the 50% points makes it worth it. Appreciate if you could share I;ve only been SPG Plat so i've never ventured anywhere else with my stays. Only deciding now if going for this IHG one so appreciate all I can get!

Thank you all!
