We also had a poor experience with EasyJet/Terminal M two weeks ago. Our boarding passes and online said in big letters that it was necessary to arrive in the gate area 30 minutes before scheduled takeoff. Okay, fine, normal. But when we got there, quite out of breath as the security and passport control leaving AMS was a mess (lots and lots of questions to everyone, even in the EU passport lines) we found everyone simply waiting around a cluster of five chairs or sitting on the floor waiting for the actual gate (not the one reflected on our boarding pass) to post to computer monitors, which happened about five minutes before the plane was to leave. It was then a mad rush to the gate area by everyone once it did post. Was quite akin to waiting in a major European city for a train platform to post a few minutes before the train left. Very odd terminal and it seemed like only one bathroom at the far end of it all with only two stalls, at least in the EJ area.
