I once logged in to my QF FF account and did some seat changes to a RTW ticket that had my FF program as BAEC, this resulted in my QF FF number being tagged to the booking.

Five of the sectors were credited to QF that I wanted to go to BA, Several phone calls/emails later QF agreed to release them to BA.
