Departing PVG on Sunday, my BP spat out "SS CALL SC/GOLD" instead of "BAEC #/GOLD". Mrs alexwuk (vanilla gold)'s BP was normal. The check-in agent didn't seem to speak lots of English, didn't seem to make any phone call & I thought nothing more of it. Anyway, off we trundle through immigration/security/blah.

At the gate, my BP is scanned, and a Chinese BA staffer tells me in faltering English: "oh, Special Services are supposed to escort you, but they're not working today".

So are GGLs normally supposed to get SS assistance at PVG? Only GGLs in F? Only GGLs in F on days when SS aren't working?
