I'll be flying KE from LAX to SEL to SIN later this month. Since there is no longer a KE upgrade award using DL SkyMiles, is it worth asking about an operational upgrade?

I'll be on a KE ticket with DL PM status. DL is codesharing on the KE metal, but I bought a KE ticket as DL offered no through fare to SIN.
