Take it one step further, my understanding is that any ticket with any cash carrier which originates in the US and is denominated in dollars (because it was sold in the US) must abide by the 24 hour rule. So if I bought a CX ticket for MCO-HKG-MCO, they are subject to the rule. Data point: I also canceled a ticket within the 24 hour period that booked through ba.com US site...
