New user to the forum, although used it for reference many times!
I've been staying at the same HI since the start of October. Today when my points hit my account, I finally reached Platinum. Although when I checked in last night I was allocated an Exec Room rather than a Standard, which was nice upgrade, and very unexpected.
There are lots of people staying in the same hotel whom are Platinum, and so I don't think I'll get the upgrade that often. But the 50% bonus points really helps
Anyway ... I have a quick question:
"I achieved Platinum status through points-per-£-spend rather than number-of-nights. Now that I have achieved Platinum, will any further nights be allocated as Elite-Rollover? OR will I have to wait until "Elite Qualifying Nights reaches 50"
Elite Qualifying Points Earned:
61,760 of 60,000 points for Platinum Elite
Elite Qualifying Nights:
41 of 50 nights for Platinum Elite
It's quite frustrating that the points reset on 1st January. As I've just reached Platinum, and quite possibly could just have 12 Rollover nights towards Platinum again next year, before it resets on 1st January. So it could be March before I hit Platinum again ... and will likely finish my stay at that hotel in April!
