While others do have surcharges as well (like A3) they're not outrageous on it. Plus, BA and imho also AF/KLM have reduced the surcharges to rather low, fixed amounts one has to pay on European redemptions. So no, it's not the same with nearly all of the EU FFPs as you tried to state it..
