I flew in a middle seat on JNB-LHR in June. My observations were:
iv) there is no more difficulty in reaching the aisle than there is from a window seat.
In fact, I'd say it's easier, as if you do a hop over a raised footrest, the stow bin is a little higher in the middle, and you're a bit less likely to bump your head on it.
With the last couple of flights in the window seats of row 13 on the 777-200ER, I've become quite proficient in doing the hop over the footrest.
