I understand the flight was pretty full, as he had tried to book flight day before, no seats in Y and then managed to snag one on the day. He was a very happy camper as had asked if a window seat was available as he had only managed to select a middle seat and wasn't until he got to the lounge that he realised he had been upgraded.
