In North America, I find Westins to be more upscale, catering to a traveling manager, whereby Sheratons more for families and traveling salesmen. Westins have the Heavenly Bath. Sheratons have those two, small white towels you'll remember from YMCA camp 20 years ago. I find Westins to be more on their game.

International Sheratons are a different story.
