Its really handy to plug in various same day of week queries and see the wait time patterns. Of course this is only the immigration lines

For JFK T8 I'd add up: est of Late inbound + de-plane to the Q 5 mins + immigration queue itself + possible further wait for checked-in bags + 15 mins for customs.
(for completeness if it was then onwards onto a same day domestic: +15mins Priority access security + 10 minutes to Gate + boarding is at t-30).
At least in my mind, Biz class can easily cover that little lot 30 - 45mins quicker than those at the back.
But, wow, 3hours ... was that travelling economy?
