I'm arriving with AA at 6:05PM DEC09 into FLL from DFW. I need to continue onto ATL on a seperate itinirary, I have 3 options as far as I can tell.

1) Overnight at FLL, adding cost but reducing stress and minimizing connection risk.

2) Haul out of FLL, get through customs and position myself at MIA with Uber or a taxi for an AA flight at 9:05PM to ATL. This is the option I'm looking closely at now, do you think I'll be able to make it? I'm an international traveller, with checked luggage. If anyone has experience with FLL/MIA and getting between the airports/how long before I should be at MIA, and how long it will take to exit FLL, etc, then I'd be so so greatful.

3) Wait it out, and catch the Spirit 9:45PM flight to ATL directly from FLL with least risk of IRROP and delays. The biggest problem with this option is.. it's Spirit, and I'd like to avoid it if I can.

What would you do? Any advice would be appreciated!
