Have phone reservations different rules than BA.com ?

Hello,
that's my first post here and hope I'm in the right section.

I plan to fly from NCE-LGW-MRU on january 8th and MRU-LGW-LHR-NCE on 21st.
Outbound in S+V and Inbound in I+J
On BA.com when I made a dummy reservation it says I can carry 3x32 kg bags and there is no refund in case of cancellation ( just some taxes maybe).
As I need to make sure I can travel, I called BA and took a hold and they said I can only carry 3x23 kg bags and in case of cancellation before the first leg I only have a penalty or 180 euros.
So I am a little bit confused and don't know what to believe.

Has anybody any similar experience or did I only have a person at the phone who didn't know BA rules ?
