I've found BA (short haul) crews ... tolerable recently. They're "nice" and "friendly" in a way that seems to suggest they've been told to be nice or be fired. Perhaps this coincided with the cabin refits (hey yes it's cramped and worse than before, but hey, at least the crew are smiling, right?!)
