Neither appeals to me. Why would you strive for a PR card and be forced to pay taxes to Uncle Sam regardless of where you live? - Note, it was my Canadian accountant that warned me about the global tax implications of getting that green card and even he (a chartered accountant) recommended I speak with the firm's specialist due to the intricacies of international taxes. Post #3 wins the wisest post award IMHO.
