I have a MBNA NEA master card now and pay $40-$45? fee for the "travel rewards" program. The World Card appears to give me the same benifits without the fee. I just appplied for it and we will see.
I asked and they would not let me transfer my "travel reward points" from my NEA card to the new World card. So I have to use and probably pay another year's fee to be able to redeam the points for a trip. I have 21,000 points now and my renewal date is end of September.
But what I can do is transfer my line of credit from one to the other, when the time comes to close the NEA card.

The MBNA person I signed up with mentioned a benifit of getting a free travel compainion ticket after charging $5000. Has anyone else heard of this??
