Correct, the 777 is generally gate 17, 18 or thereabouts (though I had gate 3 a few months back); The A380 is generally 62, which is some way at the far end of the pier, either a long walk or a transit (makes little difference time wise, if you are in good health, incidentally). I think the gates around 18 cannot handle A380s. Someone told me they went from gate 70, which is even further off. The ambiguity doesn't actually make much difference to the lounge option since you wouldn't lose much time between Wing and Qantas no matter what the option, there's less than 5 minutes in it.
