Interesting to see things from different points of view.
The relevant thing about this offer is that it is effectively an FFP, the only one for low frills carriers in Europe, hence my original posting.
My first thought was to post it in In The News: News That Affects Frequent Flyers but that seems to relate only to published material - my info came from an e-mail.
I suspect those who are interested in Ryanair - and judging from posts in other boards, there are quite a few - would not be looking in the Visa/Mastercard forum. Online bookers with Ryanair tend to use debit cards rather than credit cards in order to avoid the £4 surcharge.
And in any case, the Visa/Mastercard forum is Discussion regarding mileage cards from Visa and MasterCard. The ryanair.com card is not a mileage card.
On general purchases, there is no mileage or other earning benefit. It is only when purchasing Ryanair flights that there is the possibility of earning a 'free' flight.
