Look, I am not privy to all the specifics of her condition and even if I was, it's not appropriate for me to discuss someone else's medical conditions in depth on a public forum. I also don't know all the appropriate terminology for some of these things, and people are clearly very nitpicky on that.

What I can and will say is that the person in question has issues that warrant seeing a specialist, said specialist recommended an animal for emotional support, and it seems to have helped significantly.

Now, I do not know how the airline's classification of ESA may or may not differ from other organizations, and what the airline's procedures are for those various classifications. I welcome objective discussion of and information on all of that; while I am certain there is abuse of this just like everything else in the world, I'd greatly appreciate some actual help and information and would prefer if we could keep the personal opinions out of it.
