One thing that I like about the Shell MC is the 5% rebate on gasoline purchase. In SF Bay Area, regular unlead goes for about $1.80/gal. 5% back knocks about 9c off the price. And that seems to be the difference between Shell and other no-name brands. I always go to the stations which offer free car wash with min 8 gal fill up to make me feel better.

One other thing, if you go to Shell's website, they hint that they will launch another gas rebate card after the Chase program ends. If you like the Shell card, stay tune.

I use to use the Shell MC as my primary card. But I deflect to mileage/points based card nowadays as I usually value a mile as 1.3c. So a mileage based card is a better deal for me.
