Do I need a PIN to use my card?

You may be asked to enter your PIN when using your new M&T Bank Visa Credit Card at a chip enabled merchant location. In other instances you may simply be asked to sign a receipt as you do today**. The merchant terminal will guide you through the transaction.
Basically, if it asks for a PIN at somewhere with a cashier (e.g. Walmart), it prefers PIN.
