Yes. This really has to be mandatory. Unless things have changed, the system software would allow a drop down list to be offered when a new thread is started.

True, so it would be highly desirable to have this information (ideally the full fare code) included in posts, but it's not always clear from a selling airline's fare code how the actual flights taken will be treated by each of the many FFPs a passenger might consider crediting to (e.g. multi-carrier itineraries, code shares) so why clutter thread titles?
