If you have another preferred RSS tool that you use, then you'll experience a similar notification improvement with it as well.
For those of you who like to tinker with things, the IFTTT recipes are very configurable. I built two recipes for myself: one for the Delta forum and one for the Good Deal Premium forum. I configured the subject lines to include the prefix of DL: and PREM: respectively, so now when I go to my email inbox I'll see messages stamped like this:
DL: Day Before Thanksgiving Travel
PREM: AY: HAM-DEL 980 eur
(Also considering subscribing to the Mileage Run forum, which I'll prefix MR: )
Based on the subject line, I can decide if I want to ignore the message or open it and the message body will contain the initial post.
The IFTTT recipes also allow you filter the messages based on text, so potentially you could limit the Premium Deals messages to those that contain your preferred alliance airline codes or a particular airport code if you wanted to. You would still be able to check the board for all other postings though. I doubt I'll use like this, but one day maybe I will.
