There are several versions of the F'lite. Some are completely hardsided and others are hardside-fabric panel hybrids. We have the original 2-wheeled hardside F'lite in both the 28/29" and the 32" The 32" is really way too big for several reasons. It's too easy to go overweight because there is so much space, plus the material used to make the case is much thinner than the old Oysters so they need to be filled most of the way to give it more strength and structure. The dents pop right back out but there are stress marks and "bruising" where the hit happened. I noticed that it is also easy to dent the poles of the retractable handle. However, as we are short people, it's not much of a big deal for us. The large wheels are make it easy to pull/push around.

My dad has some other newer Samsonite hardside cases in a fibreglass-like material. Those just chip and crack and arrive on the belt with shards of the case in your clothes and on the belt. Overall, in view of their other hardsided cases, I would not hesitate to buy another F'lite 28/29" despite the bruising and the denting of poles. The Samsonite Outlets usually have a good deal on them.

My mom has 2 of the original oysters in the M and the L size. They really don't hold much because of thickness of the case itself. They are also a pain to drag around an airport if you are unable to find a cart. Those old ones can be checked empty since they are so sturdy. My mom is a very frequent traveller and and has been using her old Oysters for decades.
