I have a question about mileage earning at the time of balance transfer. I thought I can still earn the miles when I paid the balance of the mileage card by the check of another credit card. Is it correct, or not?

If the balance transfer matters for earning mileage, is it possible to get a check from the credit card which offers balance transfer, then deposit to my checking account, and paid it off from my bank account check.

I would appreciate if anyone of you clarify this issue. Thanks.
